The Direct Importer allows you to import a job to your job board using a URL.

Unlike the Magic Aggregator, which automatically imports a list of jobs, this tool is meant to be used on one-off jobs on one-off occasions.

  • Click Import job

  • Paste the URL into the URL field

    • It must be a URL (starts with https://)

  • Click Import job

When the page reloads you will see the job import in a list with previous job imports.

What do the different statuses mean?

  • Queued

    • The job is preparing to import

  • Importing:

    • The job is currently importing

  • View job:

    • The job successfully imported

  • Failed:

    • The job was unable to be imported

  • Duplicate:

    • The job was previously imported through the Direct Importer or Magic Aggregator- it was skipped and you were not charged. ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

What URLs are supported?

Any job posting that utilizes Job Posting Structured Data is supported.

This is the data Google uses to display job posts in search results, so many modern job posts have this. But it's important to remember: not all job posts have this data.

Want to be sure a job post has structured data?

Use a tool like Schema Markup Validator to make sure the job post has structured data. Paste in the job post URL and click Run test. You should be good to go if you see JobPosting on the right hand side.

Note: There are times where the validator tool will find the structured data and the import will still fail. There are several ways this data can be provided, we support the most common ways and may expand it in the future.

How much does it cost?

A direct import uses 1 credit per job import.

The credit is used regardless of the import succeeding or failing.
